Housing and Services

AGE+ has been partnering with communities for nearly two decades to improve living conditions and services for older adults living in rural areas. We work in rural areas because we know how challenged these communities are by the limited supply of appropriate affordable housing and access to services.

In this project, AGE+ is partnering with rural communities and individuals to develop new models of affording housing and supportive care networks, called Circles of Care, that can help low income older adults successfully age in place.

The focus of Circles of Care is to ensure seniors have access to volunteer services that support them in their aging and further bridge generational gaps while strengthening community.

A core principle of Circles of Care is that those getting help may also be able to help others. By feeling supported, they may, in turn, be able to support others.
