Older adults 50+ continue to make up 95% of the deaths from COVID-19.
As the time for COVID-19 vaccine boosters approaches, AGE+, together with the Governor’s Commission on Senior Services and the Oregon Gerontological Association, has urged Governor Brown to immediately create a plan to prioritize and effectively deliver these life-saving boosters to older Oregonians. We have offered our expertise to assist with reaching older adults across the state to provide information and resources in ways that are accessible and equitable to all.
Many lessons were learned from the initial vaccine rollout earlier this year. We are calling on Governor Brown to ensure older adults can quickly and easily get their boosters as soon as they are available. AGE+ stands ready to help.
