This past month, AGE+ has joined the nation in celebrating women’s history. The 2022 theme, “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope,” is especially relevant as women have, in many ways, led the charge of hope and healing throughout the pandemic, both at home and in the workplace.
The roles of women throughout history and today are invaluable to communities everywhere. This briefing paper highlights the challenges and contributions of older women in Oregon—some of the hardest working yet unacknowledged people we know.
