Last week, people from communities and sectors across Oregon came together for the Shared Future Oregon Kick-Off, the first major step in advancing a Multi-Sector Plan for Aging.
The room reflected a wide range of experiences and expertise. Advocates and leaders spoke up for the people and communities they know and care about, identified what matters most, and began exploring ways to drive meaningful change.
Priorities identified through broad public engagement are now shaping the efforts of nine workgroups. In the coming months, workgroups will dig deeper into these priorities and develop recommendations that will come together in a statewide plan. Shared Future Oregon is being built by Oregonians, for Oregon, and it will take all of us to create a plan that reflects the diversity of the people, experiences, and perspectives statewide.
